The timeless Berlin-based songwriter Alice Pheobe-Lou is investing her time into the new project strongboi alongside longtime friend Ziv Yamin. All of their releases so far have been heavenly pop songs injected with synths and soul. The brand new single 'tuff girl' is laid upon a psychedelic, Latin-washed soundtrack, with synths that squelch, a rhythm from a warmer climate, and electric guitar licks that bring the funk. The lyrics use gender pronouns in an eyeopening way as they seem to question society's gender expectations: "She's the strongest boy in town, but she's never been tough enough for all the bigger boys.
